The Ancient Romans

We have all heard about ancient Rome and its inhabitants.  This is a time that is a mystery to us as it's hard to envision what life was truly like.  Close your eyes and picture yourself in ancient Rome and think of what a typical day would be like for you.  Answer these questions:

What do you think you would be wearing?
What would your surroundings look like?
What would your house look like?
What kinds of foods would you be eating?
What would you do for fun?
What kind of job would you have?
Would you have a pet?  If so, what kind?

Don't forget that this is a TEST grade!  You must answer all the questions and TWO points will be deducted for every error in grammar, punctuation and spelling.  Please try hard and sound eloquent!  You can do it!

The post is due by Friday, March 25, at 3:45 p.m.

  1. If I live in Rome I would probably be wearing something more on the fancy side, such as a nice dress with sandles, or a nice shirt with nice pants. In Rome the surroudings have beautiful architecure. From the buildings to the streets are just absolutly amazing. The house that I would be living in would be something with alot of art on the walls and made with brick and stone. It would be a house that would stand out not something that is usual. Everyday I would be gladly eating Italian food, which happens to be my favorite. For fun I would have to say i would be enjoying the beautiful view of a beautiful city. Theres so much to see and I would like to see all of it. Be able to jsut walk into places that have been there for a very long time and seeing how everything was built compared to now would really give me a good perspective on things, and really open my eyes. To live in Rome I would like to have some type of cooking job, it would be very fun to just make all the good Italian food and be able to make it in my own home. I would love to have a pet and I would have some type of dog, having a dog just seems more suited to the enviornment.

  2. If I lived in ancient Rome, I would more than likely be a king, so I would be wearing a purple or gold toga. Along with the toga, I would wear some sandals and a golden crown. I guess my surrounding would look pretty nice. It probably would have stone building all over the city. My house would be big in size, and more than likely a palace. It would be made out of stone, and have stone pillars holding it up. It would be three stories, it would have a balcony right out side of my room. My house would have big windows with arches. I would also have a large garden. I would have probably eat grapes, cheese, and steak. I would probably drink wine. For fun i would probably go to the Roman Coliseum, and watch people duel to the death. My job in Rome would be to rule the people, and make laws, because I am the king. No, I would not a pet because they too much care and you have more responsibilities than you need. Also considering I would be the king I would have enough responsibilities, and I would not need anymore.

  3. I picture myself in ancient Rome wearing a white dress with sandals. My surroundings would include beautiful big buildings were the upper class would live. My house would be a place where I would express my love to music. It would have kind of like a theater where people could come and see music being made. I would want to eat cheese and drink green tea all the time. For fun I would preform for the people of Rome on my violin and I would sing for them, too! My job would be a musician that would preform for everyone, especially the King and Queen. I would have a pet chiken or a pet goat that would come with me everywhere.

  5. If I lived in ancient Rome I would be wearing a purple toga with sandals and a leaf crown since I would be of royal birth. I would be surrounded by other Romans wearing white togas since they are not of royal blood. All of the buildings around my house would only be made of stone, but my house would be made of marble. There would also be many golden statues in my house. Most of the statues would be of me. I would eat much fruit, mostly grapes, bread, and drink wine. For fun I would fight in the Roman Coliseum because it is probably boring to watch people fight so I would fight and of course win. My job would probably be to collect the taxes from all of the non-royal people. I would probably have a pet since I love animals. I would have a bull. It's name would be Precious and would lay next to my chair. I would pet it while I am fed grapes.

  7. If I lived in Rome, I would be wearing sandals and a long white toga. All around me would be beautiful architecture and many people because Rome was and still is a extremely populated city. My house would be small but decent enough to live in. I always be eating bread and milk or water because I don’t imagine myself living off of much. For fun I would stroll around the city. My job would be something such as making clothing or weaving baskets because I love working with my hands. A goat would probably be my pet although it doesn’t sound like a very good pet but at least I would get free milk!

  8. Roman life would be very different from life today. I would most likely be wearing what I could afford, just a simple dress with leather sandals, unless I was of higher social class. If so, I would wear gold accents and expensive items.
If I were to look around, I think I would see small houses made of stone or marble, and in the distance the Roman Coliseum.
My house would be simple, and would be slightly too small for my family, but bearable.
In my house I would enjoy milk, bread, water, fruits and occasionally meat and wine when pay is good.
And when I am bored, I would read, or go to the Coliseum, to watch the newest fight.
But when it came for work, being a girl, I might not have a job, but would be a mother tending to my children.
I don't think I would have a pet. They would most likely take too much tending to, or we would not be able to feed it on occasions.

  9. If I lived in Ancient Rome, I would most likely wear a simple brown tunic with a plain white toga, with a pair of blue-dyed leather shoes. My surroundings would most likely be a bustling street filled with people during most of the duration of the day, and peacefully quiet during the night. My home would hopefully be a medium-sized town house, with plenty of windows to look out at the streets, and the walls covered in simple paintings. I would most likely eat basic foods such as simple dairy products, some fruits or vegetables, occasionally meats and most often, bread. I would most likely have two choices to choose for my entertainment. One choice would be to paint out backgrounds and landscapes, maybe even just clouds drifting by. The second choice would be to have mock-sword duels with friends, as it would be active, and you would never know when being able to wield a sword may be a helpful skill. I would want my job to be an artist, architect, or poet. If nothing else is possible or well-paid, perhaps being a teacher would be a good second job choice. I would definitely have a pet, and, at my choice, it would certainly be a dog.

  10. To live in Ancient Rome has always been a fantasy of mine. I always believed I was born in the wrong century. By watching movies and reading books I think I would want to be dressed in a simple but stylish dress, a long dress that covered my ankles, for example a beige silk cotton blend (considering the heat) with a brown sash along the torso. I would wear sandals of course; I imagine them to be gold or brown strappy ones. My hair would be long and in a braid with a beige ribbon tied into it. As to my surroundings, the glorious Ancient Rome would be magnificent to be surrounded by. The historic sites we know today wouldn’t be historic, they would be magnificent all the same, but I would be able to see them in their full structure, to see what they truly looked like and to see all the original and authentic Roman art. I would surely surround myself with art, books, and more books. Seeing how many women were uneducated during the era, I would ensure to differ the usual. I would love to go see the buildings and structures, shop at the markets, and to be a part of the crowd sometimes. If I could help it I would not want to live in the city, I would much rather live somewhere in the country where it's more quaint and simple. My house would be nothing major, made out of stone with windows and openness, just what i need, and a little of what I want. I want to be ultimately surrounded by the natural beauty of Ancient Rome. When I would go to the near by market for food I would look for things such as: an abundance of grains, which were a plentiful crop then, plenty bread, fish, corn, maybe meat once in a while (seeing how i wouldn’t be rich), many varieties of cheese! To drink would probably water from a near by spring, or milk from my own cow, and when I were to get older, wine! I would buy each item at a different time though because they would spoil quickly without the proper refrigeration. To afford all this I would get a job as a seamstress because I love to sew. For fun back then was different from our fun now in ways. I wouldn't do what I do for fun now, then. Reading would be my passion along with sewing. It would be great to be the creator of new styles for the Ancient Romans, also I would want to learn to paint, and once in a while go to a festival in the city with friends. If I weren’t to achieve my tranquil life in the country for some reason, my job as an Ancient Roman chamber maid of some sort would come into play. I would love to live in the palace as a servant; even though it would be tedious I think it would be worth it to know all the secrets of the glorious palace, to see all the beauties you would have the opportunity to see that come with being a palace servant. As for having a pet if I could afford to keep one, I would want a big dog like an Akita because they are great guard dogs, and will keep burglars out.

  11. I think if I lived in Rome, I would be wearing something fancy and fresh. My surroundings in Rome would probably consist of beautiful architecture and open spaces. My house would most likely be something on the unique side with expensive stone, and beautiful carvings within the walls. I would be eating Italian food. I think I would walk around a lot, especially at night to be able to see all the beautiful sights that Rome had. I would try to see as much as I could everyday until I learned the city by heart. I would like to have an amateur artist job. I love to paint, so that would be something to keep me busy and support me. I would love to have a pet, I think having a fish would be great, it would be easy to care for and to keep up with.

  12. I did live in Rome once... in my dream. In that dream I was wearing a Blue toga with sandals and a crown as a royal heir next in line to take my father's throne. My royal palace was made of solid stone with fury walls soft as can be and was about 600 ft tall. People surrounded praising me and giving me fruit and all sorts of gifts. Women fed me grapes on my chair of gold and silver fit for a royal king. I had a pet lion named chuckles that went every I went and would protect me from assassins. I also had an artistic room for my beloved skills of painting with fruit. My life in Rome would be perfect and everyone would want to be me.

My house would be made of stone and have a ton of pillars with great designs. Grapes, Cheese, wine, bread, and if I was emperor, I'd occasionally have a juicy steak. I'd love to be emperor of Rome so I can rule the people and be well known five hundread years later. I would have a horse or mule to get me around town and pull my royal carriage.

  15. If I lived in Rome, I would most likely wear a white toga with sandals, typical clothing back then. My surroundings would include the beautiful architecture such as the colleseum. My home wouldn't be to big, because I don't like huge houses. It would be a medium sized home, cozy but decorated fashionably. The kinds of foods I would be eating would be whatever was supplied or grown in Rome. My kind of fun would be going to the colleseum to see a person getting chased by a lion, simply because there wasn't really that many options for entertainment. I don't really see myself having a job in Rome, but if I absolutely had to get one, I would probably be a seamtress of somethin of that sort. Finally, I don't know really what kind of pet I would have. I say this because I don't know if dogs existed back then.

  16. If I lived in Rome, I would probably wear a white dress with a brown belt and sandals. There would be different kinds of buildings around me according to the area I was in. If i were in my house I would be surrounded by all kinds of trees and shrubs. My house would be in a forest away from the city where I could have tranquility. I would eat all kinds of fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy products and get my drinking water from a spring. For fun I would take really long walks around the forest to see what I could find. I would probably work with Mariella: I would sing with her while she played her violin. I would also sell the vegetables we grew in our small crops. I would like to have a Golden Retriever because they're nice and would make good company.

I would be surrounded by architecture because that is one of the things that Rome is known for. I would be eating pastas and bread. 25. I think that if I lived in Rome, I would daily wear a dress that goes down to my ankle make of 100% cotton. It would by tied at the waist (like a belt) with a small lasso or rope. I would live within the city, so everywhere around me there would be people on the streets going to the market, going to worship, or just going off with day. There will be children playing on the streets, stray dogs and cats trying to pick up stray food, priests and upper-class people talking politics, and a few soldiers on the corner of streets keeping order in the city. My house would be a little open adobe house with a small kitchen, living room and bedroom, and it shares a little yard in the back with neighboring houses and will contain a beautiful little garden. It will be a pretty simple, and you can think of it kind of like a small apartment. I would probably eat mostly all natural and organic foods. in these days there were no artificial preservatives, so my meals would mostly consist of a meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, and to drink water or wine. For fun I would probably go walk around the market with my girlfriends. Maybe go to a blooming garden and stare at the statue of the gods. I would probably work as a vender, selling clothing, jewelry, an other items to decorate a home, such as flower pots, paintings, etc. I honestly wouldn't own an animal, but in my little neighborhood there will be stray dogs and cats walking around. those would be my pets, the would walk in and out of my house and i would once in a while through out some food for them.

My house would most likely be a rectangular, tan, stone house like most of the other people of that culture. 27. I think that if I lived during the Roman time period that I would wear some type of white garment or if I was a roman legionaire some kind of armor. My surroundings would be very mountainous out in the land and within the city limits it would probably be very crowded and compact together. My house would be made of mostly stone, with very few windows and possibly connected to other houses with only a wall blocking in between each of them. I would be eating many kinds of crops and grains such as bread and eat maybe some meat, with only being able to drink water and wine. For fun I would go to the collesiuem to watch fights and some kind of games, I would also probably go see some plays, but not many since they dont call to my attention much. I think my job would be as a soldier in the Roman army because the other jobs during that time would seem boring and not interesting to me. Yes I would have a pet and it would be a dog because it would be helpful to have one and it could guard the house when I am not there, since many people at the time were not exactly all rich.

My house would probably be made odf some type of adobe, and look very nice. I would probably be eating alot of fruits and vegetables, and anything I could hunt on my own. I think for fun I would take a walk around town and make a stop at the colleseum to watch an event. I would work as a seamstrist, sowing clothing and selling them for a good profit. If I had a pet, it would be a horse, because they are very useful to get around, and just a nice pet to have. This is how I would live in Rome.

  40. I think if I lived in ancient Rome I would wear things like togas, sandals, and I definitely wouldn't be wearing the same clothes I am today. There would most likely be no real designs on it. All the clothing would look pretty plain. My surroundings would be full of fancy buildings and I also think there would be many buildings under construction at the time. I would see many arches, columns, and fountains at buildings and coliseums. I wouldn't see many paved roads like we see today. They would be mostly dirt roads and when they are paved it would be with stone or brick. My house would probably be one story with just enough rooms to live in. I imagine that I would build my own house and I wouldn't want to put so much time in making unnecessary rooms. It would have cool Roman things for the time, and have places for torches to light up the rooms. I would probably be eating things that are local to the area I'm living in. I would get them from something like a farmer’s market with fish, meat and fruit; no McDonalds! I might have fun by watching one of the very first Olympics and things inside the coliseums. The job for the time I would like to have is being a blacksmith. I would be making swords and armor for the army. As for a pet, I would have something that could help me like a horse to ride, instead of always walking everywhere. Overall, I think it would be fun to live in Rome.

  41. If I were to live in acient rome I would probaly wear what we call today a "toga". My surroundings would hopefully be in a place not to crouded in the center of rome but, more along the outskirts of rome. My house if I would have the power to build it, would be like I said some what in the outskirts of rome not to big of a house. My house would be more of a little country type of home. No doubt on this question nothing but meat! All sorts of varietys I would be able to get my hands on. For fun I would either be hunting in the country side or I would watch the entertainment they would have in the colleseoum. My perfect job if I were to live in rome would be to work as a Butcher. The reason for this is beacuse I would enjoy to work as one and it would be a good supply of food for myself. I would only have a pet if I could support it and raise it healthy I wouldnt like to have a pet if it were to be suffering on a daily bases beacuse of me. If I were to have a pet it would be a sheep.

  42. If I lived in ancient Rome, I think I'd wear a toga with comfortable sandles, suitable for running in. There'd probably be buildings everywhere I turn, and small roads for any travelers. I'd have a fancy looking two story house with a vast view of the city. I'd love to eat fruits and other foods with protein in it to keep myself full longer. For fun, I'd wake up early and go running with my adequate sandles. I would want to be a constructor and build buildings, bridges, and many other things. I think I would prefer to have a pet, most likely an active dog that will go run with me.

  43. If i lived in ancient Rome i would wear sandles and leather clothing. I would be surrounded with dirt roads and on them people traveling on horses. There would be huts, buildings and a castle in the area surrounding my house. I would live in a little hut with a candle giving me the light I need to see in the dark. I would be healthy from eating fruits and vegetables. To entertain myself I would ride horses or just simply workout. I'd be a blacksmith. The only pet i would have would be my black horse.

  44. If I was to be in ancient Rome, I think I would be wearing a robe, not colorless, but not so fancy either. Unless, I was a royal at that time and I had to show my status. I picture my surroundings magnificent, dirty but handmade. I imagine it to be a work of art, because no machines were there to do the hard, dirty work for you, just the strength of your back and arms and the satisfaction that you did this on your own. I picture my house the way I know how to live, stylish but with the necessary utilities, at the same time, making it look like no other. I’d be eating healthier than I eat now, that’s for sure. But I would be eating things like grapes, strawberries, oranges, pig-meat, pork, and duck... definitely a lot of wine, also. As for entertainment, I enjoy violence, I have no idea why, but I would watch gladiator games or fight myself, if it was even possible at the time, I would love to go swimming, also, and I do love the water. As my job, I would be up high in the ranks in politics, I do know my way around it, and it’s in my blood. Yes, I will always have a pet, it doesn’t matter if other people think it is dangerous or weird or any of the sort, I would have a white tiger. Any sort of animal that shows power, ferocity, and danger.

  45. If I lived in Ancient Rome I would wear a dress and sandals. I think the surroundings would look like a lot of dirt and unpaved roads many big white buildings. My house would be small, made out of stone and it would be white. I think I would eat a lot of bread, fruits, cheese, and meat. For fun I would walk throughout the city. For a job I would probably be a baker. I would have a pet it would be a cat and a dog.

  46. What do you think you would be wearing? I would wear a laurel wreath on my head indicating I am the emperor.

What would your surroundings look like? There would be a public pool in which people bathe and socialize at the same time, and there would be wide open spaces of fields outside the city.

What would your house look like? It would be a large house with water coming in though an aqueduct and I would also have a chimney to heat up my home in the winter.

What kinds of foods would you be eating? If I were to be wealthy I would be drinking wine in every meal and eating meat. If I were to be less fortunate and be poor then I would drink only but water and very rarely eat meat.

What would you do for fun? I would either go to the coliseum and watch men get slaughtered or go hunting.

What kind of job would you have? I would like to be a blacksmith and make important objects such as cooking ware, jewelry, and weapons.

Would you have a pet? If so, what kind? I would not like to have a pet because to me, having to feed it and make sure it is clean would be a nuisance.

  47. If I lived in ancient Rome, I would wear a tunic with chain mail over it. I would have a helmet, a shield, some sandals, a belt, and a shin guard on my left leg during active service. While in the Roman barracks, I would be surrounded by stone walls and brilliant structures, such as hand carved statues of victorious leaders and gods. My house would be two stories high. The top would be for my kids and the bottom for my wife and me. The house would be surrounded by abundant plants and flowers that my wife would tend. For the most part, I would eat stew cooked by the Roman’s army cooks. Though on special occasions, I would eat fish cooked in olive oil, goat meat topped with herbs, bread with dipping sauce, sweet grapes, and red wine. As for fun, I would most definitely go to the coliseum to watch the brutal gladiators fight amongst each other. The job I would acquire, as you can see, would be that of a Roman centurion. As centurion, I would lead my squad into glorifying battles. I would not cower! I would stand by their side until the fight was over. My pets would be a large breed dog and a sturdy horse. The dog could help me hunt and guard my family while I was away. The horse would take me from place to place and travel long distances on my adventures with the army.

My house would be made of stone and would have stone pillars in the front. My walls would be covered in masterpieces. I would eat many grapes and drink wine. For fun I would go to the Roman Coliseum. 49. If I lived in ancient Rome my typical day would consist of me wearing a nice dress, fancy jewelry, or pants and a shirt. My surroundings would be gorgeous; architecture and wide open spaces. My house would more than likely be made out of stone, but the inside would be very unique. I would probably eat a lot of Italian food. For fun I would spend my time wondering around the town, discovering new sites. I wouldn’t have a job, that’s what my dad’s for. That’s a complete joke. My job would be to help with the plays in the Globe Theater. I would not have a pet during this time, because it would be too much responsibility to feed and take care of it and myself.

  51. If i lived in Roman time I would probably be wearing a toga and robes... I would also be wearing a crown because I would be the caesar. Almost everything would be made out of stone.. all the buildings and all of the houses. Even the streets would be made from stone. There is also dirt everywhere. My house would be the biggest of them all. It would be made from marble and beautiful stones. I would probably hand fed all the best fruits because I demand that. I would also be eating spaghetti and more Italian food. I would go and watch Gladiator fights just because they are awesome... I wouldnt let any of them die though. That would be cruel. I would be caesar because my descendents are all from royalty. I would have a pet tiger that I could snuggle and play with all day. When I wouldn't like someone I would send the tiger at them. Thats my Roman life

  52. If I lived in Ancient Rome, I would be wearing the same old jeans and shirts I usually wear. My surroundings would be nothing but nice open space and beautiful buildings. I would be living in a mansion, big and beautiful! Most likely, I would want to be eating a lot of spaghetti, lasagna, and chicken cutlets. For entertainment, I would go visit every historical place in the city. I would want to be a famous artist, and make millions. I would have a lion as a pet to be my outsie secutity.

  53. If I imagined myself back in Ancient Rome I myself wearing long clothing, kind of like bed sheets just raped around you. Also we would be wearing sandals with straps that reach over your ankles. The surroundings would be just beautiful; there would be big buildings with many windows. As well as many people with the same style as you. My house would not be that big, as well as not that small. It would be a beautiful brown color with open windows in every room. I think I would be eating meat from animals we have killed or bought at the “stores”. Also we would eat fruit because we would plant so many fruit plants. For fun I think I would just walk around from place to place, as well as meet new people. The air would be so wonderful that I would make you want to be outside forever. The kind of job I would have will be a clothing maker. I would have my own shop where I make the cloth for both men and women. No I don’t think I would have a pet. Pets are too much to handle and I don’t think I would like to handle caring for animal.

  54. I imagine myself wearing a long clothes that are long and white. I would have brown sandels on that would be very comfortable. My surroundings would be people every where, and small stores selling pots and fruit. I imagine my house being small and it is all made of brick walls there would just be one big room for the kitchen and a bed. The food I would be eating would be fruits, vegetables, and maybe even meat. For fun, I would probably be outside with all the people there, and just take walks. My job, would be selling fruits. I would grow the fruits and I sell them. That's the only job I can be able to think of. For a pet I would have a dog, because dogs are fun to play with.

  55. If I lived in ancient Rome, I would probably wear a long white toga, and leather strap sandals. The environment of Rome would seem to consist of dirt roads, many buildings of beautiful architecture, and a colosseum. My house would be small and would most likely be made of clay or stone. My daily foods would be madof many fruit, grains, and meat. Most of the time, I would eat spaghetti, bread, and wine. Many of me and my friends would get our entertainment from hanging out at our local markets, atching gladiators in the colosseums, or playing sports ,such as handball or wrestling. My job would be as a merchant, selling antiques, valuables, fruit, and anything else that would get me money. I would have my own place at the market, and would be known for my goods. I would not have any form of pets, because they were not needed, and I already have a hard time taking care of myself, as to where another creature requires more responsability

  56. If I was living in acient Rome I would not like it. I would probably be wearing a toga. My surroundings would be very dirty. The roads were made out of stones and so would the buildings. My house would most likely be made out of stone, be thin and tall, and be really close to the next house. My diet would consist of fruits and vegtables. I would play with sticks and stone wheels. I would be a house mom, I rather not work. My pet would be a lion.

Things native to the area such as grapes, chesees, wildanimals. For fun i would be like all the other romans and venture to the collisum for the lastest play or sporting event. If i had to have i job i'd try to get into the government something not too hard, and as for i pet i'd rather not have one.

  58. I would be wearing a big robe of green material.
The surroundings would be as if art, everything is made of intricate but precise designs, very modern for that time. My house would be out of stone and would hae at least some plumbing! However during the winters it would be very cold. I would be eating some bundant fruits like grapes and oranges. I would run all along the countryside of Italy, its fun and soothing. I'd like to be a material specialist for that time, trying to invent tools and making materials for upcoming construction projects. I would like to have a pet snake, that way I can fit with the culture.

  59. If I lived in the roman times i would wear a toga first, because they look really comfortable and super stylish. I think everything would be all old because it’s the roman times and not that much stuff had been invented yet. My house would be a two story brick house because two story houses are way better than regular houses and brick isn't that likely to break. I would probably eat bread with wine because it sounds fancy and i want to be thought of as being very organized and proper. For fun i would go to the coliseums to watch the tigers get fed people, which sounds very exciting. For work i would be a toga designer so everyone could have different togas and not look the same as everyone else. As for bets i would want two a pet bull named Lamborghini and a black horse named Ferrari, after my favorite things in the world.

    4. I would for sure be eating mutton on a stick. Im not sure I would like it but everyone else I think would be eating it and so would I.
    5. Since it was way back then I would probably be throwing rocks at the wall, at cars, or at people since basketball wasnt invented yet.
    6. I would try to be a sword maker for the gladiatiors to fight against the lions in the collesium.
    7. I would have a pet but it would have to be a baby lion. I dont know why but I have just always wanted to have a baby lion to scare people on the streets.

  62. I honestly think I would be only wearing gladiator sandals and a skirt. Since I'm not fat anymore I won't be wearing a shirt. My surrondings would include a little market that would serve as a downtown, a couple of elegant houses where the rich would live, and a lot of little huts were the plebeians would live. If I were to be rich, my house would be big and either white marble or porcelain all around. If I were to be poor though, I would not even want a house, just live in the wilderness using mirrors to lure bears and capture them. I would rather be eating fruits, got to stick to my healthy diet you know. Maybe some meat every now and then and a lot of bread. For fun I would go wrestle with other Romans and go hunting. I love hunting and wrestling. I would be a gladiator!! They were the "Police" of back then. Back then there wasn't guns so not much of a threat if there were to be a fight. you are also equipped with a shield and sword, so I'd be pretty happy. I imagine myself eating bread, dried fruit, and cheese; also I’d be drinking red wine. For fun I would go to the hippodrome and watch the chariot racing, or go to a big theatre and watch plays being performed. Since I absolutely love cooking and baking, I can see myself having a job that has to do with cooking, I might even cook for Julius Caesar. I don’t think I would own a pet because being a cook; I think the dog or whatever pet it is would constantly be in the kitchen looking for food. Ancient Rome would be a wonderful place to be with all its valuable sights and famous places, like the colosseum. I think people from Rome loved living there with their family and friends, I know I would have.

  64. I think since it is the roman times, we would be wearing togas, sandals, and some people be wearing those leaf crowns. My surroundings would be roman coliseums, and see everybody with bad breathe and dirty clothes. It was the ancient times, so these times were very dirty and unhygienic. Most house back then were built with stone blocks, and most house were made out of adobe. To have fun in those times, I would probably go around and throw rocks at people or brake things. There weren’t game systems back in that time, so there wouldn’t be much to do. The only things would be either to work out or to go play with other people and play rock soccer or something. To be honest I don’t know what kind of job I would have, because I don’t know what kind of jobs there were back then besides being a king or queen. I would have a lion as a pet, because if anybody tried to come attack me, that lion would be there to kill the person. Animals that were human friendly didn’t exist back then, so a lion would be good for me.
